Reserve Unbound 2019
The 2019 DAOU Reserve Unbound is a daring blend of Petite Sirah, Tannat, and Tempranillo. This wine offers scintillating aromas of warm blackberry cobbler, Zante currants and blueberry compote, all underscored by hints of graphite, dark chocolate and cherry pipe tobacco. Notes of damp earth, truffle, and black olive round out the exquisitely layered and complex nose. On the palate, a mouth-filling cascade of juicy boysenberry, tangy plum, and succulent blueberry floods the senses. Under this core of ripe fruit lies cassis, wet stone, dried herbs, and espresso bean. Firm, fine-grained tannins provide ample structure and a graceful texture, leading to a magnificent, lingering finish of cherry, cranberry and cocoa.

DAOU Vineyards
Brothers Georges and Daniel Daou set forth across the globe to find an unrivaled terroir for producing Cabernet Sauvignon, a quest that led them to a place of foretold greatness: DAOU Mountain in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. DAOU is a family owned and operated winery committed to producing collectible, world-class wine to rival the most respected appellations. Standing alone at 2,200 feet, this remarkable mountain was once described by André Tchelistcheff, legendary winemaking authority, as “a jewel of ecological elements.”
