Pitagora 2013
With fruit hailing from three sub-appellations of Sonoma: Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, and Knights Valley, Syrah is the backbone of this blend. The remainder is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Petite Sirah. Each varietal adds its own unique characteristics. Cabernet Sauvignon gives this blend density and longevity, with Cabernet Franc adding floral notes and spice characteristics, Petit Verdot lending weight and earthy minerals, and Petite Sirah adding a meaty, peppery nuance.
