Following our Rosé of Pinot Noir release, last year comes our newest addition to the lineup, our 2018 Carneros Pinot Noir. Sourced from the same outstanding vineyard as the Rosé this wine was carefully fermented and aged onsite with the goal of crafting a beautiful red wine suited for every day drinking. Dark and rich in color, the wine has beautiful Bing cherry and spice notes on the nose. Eleven months of barrel aging have helped round and soften the palate, but it still possesses an abundance of cherry and plum as primary fruits are showing their strength. Only 175 cases produced.

OUR FOUNDERS

Walter Teachworth met Joan on a hot summer day in Texas. Joan was a bright-eyed college student. Walter was already established in his career. They traveled with a group of friends to a nearby lake to cool off. And with the best meet-cute story we’ve ever heard (just ask us when you visit), they were together for the rest of their lives. 

They fell in love with Napa and moved their young family here in the early 1990s. Over time, they pieced together an estate capable of world-class winemaking. Their vineyards were planted in 1997, and the first Teachworth vintage was crushed in 2000.
