Russian River Merlot 2014
Our winemaker says "Over the past few months or so, this Merlot has become one of our House regulars, because it’s so darn good to just drink, while you are snacking away, thinking about what’s for dinner, just as a backdrop while preparing that dinner, and voila it’s time for dinner and what happened. This has a dash of Rockpile Petite Verdot to give it some more structure and some blue fruit notes. It was a bit of a trial of ours to just age this wine in 400L neutral French oak casks for 10 months, I feel it has given this wine echo’s of simpler, honest wines from our past."
