GEN 7 Wines
GEN 7 Wines is a story of resurrection and passion. In 2008, Tim Bacino woke up on his 40th birthday with an amazing and overwhelming feeling "a Spiritual Calling", to re-start his family's 180 year old winery (Brookside Winery).
His California wine history began in 1832. Tim's uncle, Theophile Vache', came from France to pursue a dream and purchased 250 acres in Monterey County. He planted 49 acres and became one of the first wineries in CA. The winery eventually moved to southern California to the Inland Empire where Brookside Winery became the largest wine producer in CA and the 6th largest in the US. They believed in selling wine direct to the consumer and opened over 34 retail tasting rooms.
In 1980, the winery and all its land was sold to a land developer. The winery closed and everything was gone.
In 2008, the legacy of Brookside Winery resurrected as GEN 7 Wines (named after his daughter) and Tim's CA wine history restarted.
Come, visit, and taste our wonderful wines at the new and beautiful resort, Vista Collina Resort. Tim is there most days pouring wine and talk about his family's legacy.
