The story of Cuvée Wine Cellars began with a passionate home winemaker intent on producing quality wines. After a run of successes in amateur- winemaking contests across California, inspiration struck Paul Rogerville. He decided to tackle the daunting task of becoming a bonded winery.
The urban winery's location on the central Peninsula does not permit growing our own grapes. Not an obstacle by any means, it does allow access to some of the most outstanding vineyards in Northern California, as we are close to the Santa Cruz Mountains, Napa, Sonoma, and other growing regions.
We chose the name Cuvée—the French term for a blend of wines, usually of different varietals and/or vintages— to express the collaboration of wines and winemakers. With extensive research and tasting trials, teamwork and talent, the final products are exciting and refreshing.
