Caravina Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
The nose of this wine is fruit-dominant with a dense core of cassis, dark plum and lavish cherry pie, finishing with just a trace of cherry cola. True to its rustic hillside origins, the 2019 Caravina paints a savory yet smooth umami experience on your palate. Silky caramel, toffee, and black tea expose its mastery of tannins, allowing this wine to linger on your palate. Graceful and medium-bodied, this wine is perfect to drink now and also has at least fifteen years of cellaring potential.

Seavey Vineyard
"Seavey is one of the great, unheralded, under-the-radar terroirs in all of Napa Valley." -Robert Parker, Jr.
Seavey Vineyard's steep, rocky hillsides produce small, thick-skinned berries with outstanding tannins with which winemaker Jim Duane creates masterful, soulful wines that exude a sense of place and age gracefully for several decades. We have never purchased a grape and our wines do not leave the premises until they are in the bottle.
Our primary goal is to produce legendary 20-30 year-old Cabernets that grow increasingly layered and complex over time. We are also known for producing a coveted Merlot that is known for its salinity and minerality. Our wine library maintains wine from each vintage produced since 1990.
“There are no shortcuts in the vineyard. Our wine’s best friend is time, with patience being a gift you give to yourself.” - William A. Seavey
