AldenAlli was founded by two self-made names in wine and food: Kosta and Lagasse. The son of a wine collector, Dan Kosta was adept in the environs of fine dining from a young age. In his early career, Dan worked his way up the ranks from backwaiter to become Wine Director at the acclaimed John Ash & Co. in Russian River Valley. Dan created many great relationships, including one with Michael Browne, with whom he founded his first wine brand. The success of Kosta Browne Pinot Noir, combined with Dan’s passion and extensive hospitality background, established him as a natural leader in the global wine industry.
