Saddleback Cellars was founded by acclaimed winemaker Nils Venge. Known as the "King of Cab," he is the first American to achieve a 100-point score on a 1985 vintage of Reserve Cabernet from wine critic Robert Parker Jr.
Saddleback sits on quiet Money Road, a dead-end lane in the lauded Oakville District of the Napa Valley AVA. While our first love is Cabernet, Saddleback produces varietals from our estate vineyard and select vineyards thoroughout Wine Country. Some of our favorites include Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Merlot and Zinfandel. On a visit ask for a taste from our small-lot production of Posse wine club wines, including Albarino, Vermentino, Sangiovese, Charbono, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Teroldego.
